Saturday, 17 October 2009 was my first day when I first lit a cracker on the eve of Deepavali. The whole idea of bursting fire crackers thrilled me. Sparkling phuljari was the one I was enjoying. Though I knew that it is creating lot of air pollution, but the excitement of enjoying the fireworks was higher to any other thought and I could not resist lighting phuljhari for myself.
My father and mother helped me in lighting phuljhari's for me. Infact, my dad had some more excitement for me when he started bursting anar and chakri's. Sky was filled with various colors and various patterns of lights with non-stop fire work eliminated the darkness of night and filled the sky with immense light.
Though I was down with fever from last two days and had cough and cold, the fascinating view and atmosphere made me forget all those and I started enjoying the spectacular evening. The show continued for almost an hour after which our neighbors were far more enthusiastic and explosive started bursting almost ear deafening bombs and sharp whistling rockets which almost frightened me. I was scared with that noise and started hiding myself behind my mom and dad.
I came upstairs after finishing my fireworks and by then I was tired. I will for sure remember the delightful visual effects of the day for a long time.
